Admission Requirements for International Students

Admission requirements vary based on the level of study. Here are the general criteria:

Undergraduate Programs:

·       Applicants must provide a valid passport ID page (valid for at least six months beyond their entry date to Northwood University), along with secondary school transcripts and a completion certificate or diploma. Those with prior university coursework should also submit their college or university transcripts.

·       English proficiency IELTS: 6.0 overall band score, TOEFL:61 overall or PTE: 48(minimum score).

Postgraduate Programs:

·       A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. or international institution is required.

·       English proficiency IELTS: 6.5 overall band score, TOEFL:80 overall or PTE: 55(minimum score). unless the previous education was conducted in English.

·       Applicants must submit a resume outlining their supervisory or professional experience, along with details of their academic qualifications.

Scholarships and Financial Aid for International Students at Sydney Met College

The University of Newcastle offers a range of scholarships to help international students manage their tuition fees. Some key scholarships include:

·       This merit-based scholarship awards $7,000–$13,000 USD annually for on-campus students, based on GPA and ACT/SAT scores. It is applied directly to the student’s account upon submission of official documents. Off-campus students receive $2,500 less per year.

·       Up to $10,000 USD a year available for international transfer students who meet GPA requirements.

·       Siblings attending Northwood University together may be eligible for a $1,500 annual scholarship each. To qualify, both must be enrolled full-time for the entire academic year.
